Conclusion

This case report presents the first documented instance of a subarachnoid haemorrhage occurring in real time during the resection of a glioblastoma.

Supporting Evidence

  • The patient had a history of seizures and neurological deficits prior to surgery.
  • Postoperative imaging revealed a massive subarachnoid haemorrhage.
  • The surgery involved gross total resection of the tumour.

Methodology

The case involved a 64-year-old woman undergoing surgery for a glioblastoma, during which a subarachnoid haemorrhage was observed.
