Supporting Evidence

  • C. asiatica at doses of 500 and 750 mg per day increased lower extremity strength.

Methodology

A double-blind, placebo-controlled, randomized trial with 80 healthy elderly participants receiving different doses of Centella asiatica for 90 days.

Limitations

The study did not show significant improvements in all physical performance tests and effects disappeared one month after treatment cessation.
