Conclusion
Incisional hernia is a very common complication of wound healing after surgery, and good care and precautions are very important to avoid its development.

- Ninety percent of incisional hernias occur within 3 years of operation.
- Repair of large abdominal incisional hernias is a difficult surgical problem with recurrence being a common complication.
