Hypothesis
To investigate which heparan sulphate proteoglycans (HSPGs) are expressed in knee joint synovia from patients with different forms of arthritis and normal individuals.
Conclusion
The study found that selected HSPGs, such as syndecan-1, -2, and -3 and glypican-4, are differentially expressed in the synovium of patients with rheumatoid arthritis and psoriatic arthritis compared to osteoarthritis and normal synovia.
