To translate the Strength‐Based Parenting Scale (SBPS) into Persian and investigate its validity and reliability among Iranian adolescents.

Conclusion

The study provides preliminary support for the psychometric properties of the Persian version of the SBPS.

Supporting Evidence

  • Confirmatory factor analysis supported a two-factor structure of the SBPS.
  • The two dimensions were significantly correlated with mental toughness and psychological resilience.
  • Excellent internal consistency coefficients were observed for both subscales.

Takeaway

This study looked at how well a parenting scale works in Persian for teenagers, showing it can help understand how parents support their kids' strengths.

Methodology

The study involved 645 adolescents who completed the Persian translation of the SBPS and additional measures of mental toughness and resilience.

Potential Biases

Potential common method bias due to reliance on self-reported data.
