Hypothesis
To evaluate surgical procedures adopted for male genitoplasty in intersex disorders.

Hypospadias in intersex disorders is associated with severe chordee in most cases and requires an early chordee correction to allow phallic growth.
Supporting Evidence

- 351 patients underwent chordee correction for varying degrees of severity.
- Complications included fistula formation in 45 cases and recurrent infection in 5 cases.
Takeaway
This study looked at surgeries to help boys born with both male and female traits. It found that fixing a bent penis early helps it grow better.
Methodology
Case records of intersex patients undergoing male genitoplasty from a Pediatric Intersex clinic were studied.
Potential Biases
Potential bias in gender assignment and surgical decisions based on parental preferences.
Limitations
The study is retrospective and may not account for all variables affecting outcomes.
Participant Demographics
Patients included 298 male pseudohermaphrodites, 24 true hermaphrodites, 27 mixed gonadal dysgenesis, and 7 congenital adrenal hyperplasia cases.
