Hypothesis
The myocardium of patients with chronic Chagas disease cardiomyopathy (CCC) presents an impaired energy metabolism.

CCC myocardium shows significantly reduced levels of protein expression of ATP synthase alpha subunit and total creatine kinase enzyme activity compared to other cardiomyopathy types.
