Hypothesis

The study aimed to explore the actual situation of family caregiving in District A in the suburbs of Ulaanbaatar.

Conclusion

Family caregivers' mutual support and coping behaviors vary by economic, educational, and nomadic background, which may develop into a caregiving burden for Mongolians.

Supporting Evidence

  • Mean values of caregiving burden were below the cutoff point in all groups.
  • Economically stable caregivers had significantly lower caregiving burden compared to partially in need caregivers.
  • Higher education was associated with more problem-focused coping behaviors.

Takeaway

This study looked at how families in Mongolia take care of their loved ones and found that their support and coping skills depend on their education and economic situation.

Methodology

A questionnaire was distributed to 562 family caregivers, and 537 responses were analyzed, comparing three groups based on economic stability.

Limitations

The study may not represent all family caregivers in Mongolia due to the specific district focus.

Participant Demographics

Family caregivers from District A in Ulaanbaatar, with varying economic and educational backgrounds.
