Conclusion
This is the first reported case of a cerebellar medulloblastoma occurring simultaneously with a pituitary macroadenoma in the same individual.
Supporting Evidence
- The patient had a history of pituitary adenoma surgery 18 years prior.
- MRI showed a cerebellar tumor and a recurrent pituitary macroadenoma.
- Histopathological analysis confirmed the diagnosis of medulloblastoma.
Takeaway
A woman had two different types of brain tumors at the same time, which is very rare. One was in her brain and the other was in her pituitary gland.
Methodology
Clinical history, MRI studies, and histopathological findings were used for diagnosis.
Limitations
The study is based on a single case report, limiting generalizability.
